Convert Excel to PDF has quite a descriptive name: this tool is intended to convert spreadsheets into portable documents.
The tool can convert an entire workbook as well as a selection of pages. Likewise, it is possible to configure the output resolution and the compression level for the component objects, such as text and images. It is great that it lets you protect the resulting PDFs with passwords and even select an encryption level. Similarly, you can use various types of protection that selectively prevent copying, printing and modifying the file’s contents.
All in all, Excel to PDF Converter works just as expected, producing high-quality PDFs from Excel spreadsheets. However, if we compare this product with other similar tools, we find that it has the limitation of requiring Microsoft Office installed on your machine. In fact, modern Excel versions allow exporting directly to PDF without the need of a third-party tool; it is true that you are not allowed to control so many output parameters or protect the PDF, though. It is a shame, that this program cannot process batches of XLS files, which would save a lot of time and effort. Finally, you should also know that there are various virtual printers that can convert a much wider range of document formats. Taking all this into account, it seems to me that this product is overpriced.
